It is so odd to me that Frances Ha receives a Best Feature nomination but Greta Gerwig doesn't receive a nomination for her great performance. |

Woo for All Is Lost! ![]() They obviously had a great deal of high-profile films to select from this year. The list of films not nominated for the top prize, but featured elsewhere is a bit of a who's who in and of itself: Before Midnight, Blue Jasmine, Dallas Buyers Club, Enough Said, Fruitvale Station, Mud, Short Term 12, The Spectacular Now, etc. I would not be surprised if the night turned out to be a 12 Years a Slave sweep, though I am pulling for Redford to win Best Male Lead. |

She is the movie in many respects. She certainly outshines Woodley in The Spectacular Now. They also did not nominate its screenplay. And Noah Baumbach was not nominated, either. So they must consider the editing the real star of Frances Ha. ![]() |
