Probably want to go safe after the controversy from Seth's hosting last year, but a very good choice. She's one of the few recent hosts that was consistent throughout the ceremony, which for me is a must with the Oscars. |

I love the edgy humor of Ricky Gervais and Seth MacFarlane, but there's something to be said for someone who can be safe and still very funny, like Ellen and Billy Crystal. |

She appears to be well liked by the film/tv stars. I don't remember a thing about her past hosting duties, so hopefully this one will be memorable. |
