Here are the ratings over the last 15 years 1998- 55.249 2000- 46.333 1999- 45.615 2004- 43.531 2001- 42.944 2005- 42.139 2002- 41.782 2010- 41.699 2007- 40.172 2012- 39.340 2006- 38.939 2011- 37.919 2009- 36.310 2003- 33.043 2008- 32.006 I'm thinking about 41M viewers and a 12.5 demo (last two years have been an 11.7). |

I mean, yeah. It will definitely decrease a ton because 2012's Oscar's had EXTREMELY popular movies. Not even a comparison. |

I can see the more than usual coverage for the Oscars this year should at least give it a viewer count the same as last year. |

I'm going to guess about 40 million. The Best Picture nominees are collectively rather popular with audiences and MacFarlane will bring some young males probably. |
