Chastain, though Lawrence is a very, very close second and I'm rooting for both.

I still cannot believe they did not nominate her. Such an amazing performance, from the big moments (the scene in the hospital) to the small details.

Lawrence>Chastain>Watts=Wallis

I'm surprised Watts got so much attention for Impossible, I saw it earlier and though she's good it feels like she's hardly in half the movie.

Haven't seen Amour yet.

For me:

Lawrence
Watts
Chastain

Wallis

Haven't seen Amour yet, but I'd vote for Lawrence in this category. Chastain would be a close second.

Chastain or Watts, obviously.

Lawrence has ruined her chances. Stupid, arrogant, fat bitch.

Lawrence or Watts.

Chastain is good but not great.

Quote:
Lawrence quipped, "Jessica Chastain... in Zero Dark Thirty, you caught bin Laden, so what; in Winter's Bone, I caught a squirrel and then I ate it...! Naomi Watts, you know what else is impossible - you beating me on Oscar night."

She then turned on nine-year-old Wallis, adding, "You think you can beat me? What are you talking about, Wallis? Also, the alphabet called; they want their letters back," and concluded by stating Riva is "an 85-year-old French lady, yeah I think I can take you. You know what I say about your Oscar chances, Emmanuelle? Emmanuel Riva-derci!"

What a fucking arrogant, bitch. She doesn't deserve it now, and I hope that the Academy are looking at this and can see that she's nothing but a trollop. Jessica Chastain, however, is graceful as ever. A true Hollywood leading lady.

Ridiculing a child's name, even within the context of "humor," is definitely rude.

Um. It was a funny joke. Who names their kid a gibberish name like that anyway. Just sayin'.

That said, it probably wasn't the best thing to do until after the voting for Oscars was completed even if it was done just for comedy.

Y'all are aware that it was a monologue on Saturday Night Live, right? SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. Not "The True Confessions of Jennifer Lawrence: A Documentary." And that Lawrence herself most likely had nothing to do with writing it?

I cannot. Algren's hand-wringing over this is about as stupid as Lindsay Lohan taking to Twitter to blast her for "dissing" Meryl Streep at the Globes.

Still seems low to me.

I suspect we will not hear Emmanuelle Riva joke, "Hey, Fatniss, don't bother writing a speech!"

Nope, we should apparently leave calling her a fat bitch to Algren.

I actually can't believe people have managed to find a way to condemn her for the SNL monologue. Like, there's reaching and then there's...

She agreed to be on the show, didn't she? She's got no class. She could have refused to say those lines, but just like the scum she is, she didn't. I can't believe you are defending her actions. Anyway, that's her Oscar chances waved bye-bye.
