Moonrise Kingdom's score nomination is surprising. This is a film where source music easily overshadows the bits and pieces of original score.

At least Logan Lerman was nominated for Perks, as well as the film for Adapted Screenplay. I was about to call these nominations boring and expected until I got to the Adapted Screenplay nomination for it.

I'm generally not a fan of the DC critics (inc. Hornaday) and try to ignore them whenever possible.

Hmm, the critics award aren't going much for Life of Pi, eh?
