The Central Park Five and The Queen of Versailles are notable snubs.

My predicted lineup:

Bully
Chasing Ice
The Imposter
Searching for Sugar Man
This Is Not a Film

First alternate: How to Survive a Plague
Second alternate: The House I Live In

The Queen of Versailles not being on the shortlist is very surprising. I thought it'd get nominated.

The Invisible War and How to Survive a Plague are getting in... But then again, who the hell knows with how random it can be.

Being from Weinstein Bully is probably a shoe-in.

The Imposter looks great. Glad to see it on the shortlist.

I am sad Kevin Macdonald's Marley is not on the list. It is one of my favorite films of the year. I am not too surprised, though. The Academy's documentary branch doesn't seem to smile upon musical documentaries (an aversion circumvented by Searching for Sugar Man due to its relatively unknown subject and media coverage).

I hope Ai WeiWei: Never Sorry wins.
