I didn't realize TDBS has 7 100s on MC. Looks like solid BP sleeper

Absolutely not. It's way too small.

I doubt this win does much for Weisz but given how barren the Actress field is, she could sneak in at the Oscars.

The movie itself...no.

I am elated Rachel Weisz won. :D She could not be more deserving: a major talent delivering the best performance of her life. If you are mystified by the win, it is because you did not see the film.

Bigelow wins Best Director. I think she is second most likely BD winner at the Oscars behind Spielberg

If you doubt the quality of her performance, you are simply delusional. It is an objectively great piece of acting. Sure, hate the film for its deliberate pace and and unusual, antique aesthetic, etc., etc., but the performance? No way.

Sure, she is good in it. But its not a performance that makes a bad film worth it, ala Meryl Streep in The Iron Lady.

I love Weisz and think she is a brilliant actress... But this was nowhere near the greatness of her Constant Gardener role. As usual, its all subjective.
