Re: Official Golden Globes ceremony thread
Plummer has deserved an Oscar for decades now, so I'm glad he'll finally get one this year.

Re: Official Golden Globes ceremony thread
Plummer gave a wonderful, eloquent speech.
Gervais' opening was all right. Nothing more. The novelty is gone, and the material was a bit flat.

Re: Official Golden Globes ceremony thread
When a borderline dramatic performance on an HBO show is competing in a comedic category, count on it to win.

Re: Official Golden Globes ceremony thread
What a wonderful category. Love Downton Abbey, The Hour, and Mildred Pierce. Would've been happy with any of them winning.

Re: Official Golden Globes ceremony thread
I love aware shows but I gate acceptance speeches, so I'm flipping the TV back in forth between this and Zombieland

Re: Official Golden Globes ceremony thread
I would've chosen Romola Garai, but Winslet is deserving, too.

Re: Official Golden Globes ceremony thread
I can already tell the show is gonna run way long. Why do they need to individually introduce each film, again?

Kelsey Grammar's gonna win an award for every TV show he does.

Re: Official Golden Globes ceremony thread
I don't mind them introducing each film. I enjoy it in fact, particularly since, as Magnus pointed out, a lot of people might not be aware of a few of the movies.
