Post Re: L.A. Film Critics Winners (announcing now)
Yay for Chastain, but I wish they would just choose a single film of hers to champion (Take Shelter would be the best choice). Even including Texas Killing Fields? And I'd say she's the lead in The Debt. I'm afraid her terrific year will go unrewarded by the Academy because of vote diluting and role confusion.

LOVE the Chemical Brothers win. The Hanna score is better than the Social Network and Tron 2 scores.

Post Re: Los Angeles Film Critics Winners
I edited the full list into the first post.

So, first major win for The Descendants. I know, obviously the critics awards mean nothing after last year...but still, this is a biggie. Weird though...Payne didn't even make it to runner-up for Director. In fact, The Descendants didn't show up ANYWHERE else here.

Best Actress...definitely surprising. But LAFCA has always been known for surprises like this one.

Hugo is really strong...should be considered one of the top three contenders with The Descendants and The Artist.
