So, um, The Wolfman, Kick Ass, Let Me In, Black Swan and The American are all in the same film category - Thriller/Horror. What the fuck?

And what the hell is Letters To Juliet doing among the nominees?

These must be the most random noms in years...

The American is a thriller, but it's strange to see it alongside so many supernatural and/or gory films.

As for Letters to Juliet, it seems they drop the 'genre' angle in the acting categories, as The Fighter and True Grit are also cited.

They're definitely random, but the Never Let Me Go and Hereafter love is appealing. :P Two of the year's most underrated movies.
