Re: Vancouver Film Critics Circle Nominees
The who is who of this year's race.
Strong for Inception to get a Screenplay nod here with only one category and only three nominees.

Re: Vancouver Film Critics Circle Nominees
It's always important to remember the Academy, with its members who maybe watch one or two screeners and then vote mostly on hearsay, is quite different from the critics, but, still, it's interesting The King's Speech missed Picture.

Re: Vancouver Film Critics Circle Nominees
With only 3 nominees, I think it's pretty easy to predict. I'm actually more surprised that Inception missed considering True Grit, although very well received itself, hasn't done nearly as well with critics awards. The Social Network, Inception, and Black Swan are clearly the three films that have the most passionate critics supports.

Re: Vancouver Film Critics Circle Nominees
As I have said before, The King's Speech isn't nearly as strong as initially believed. Inception and Black Swan seem to be clearly ahead of it now. Black Swan just enjoys great overall support (and some very passionate among that) and Portman's the frontrunner for Best Actress. Inception is the frontrunner for Best Original Screenplay and should be a behemoth in the techs department.
