Hmm, another fairly open one at this point. Possibilities are: Helena Bonham Carter (The King's Speech) Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right) Amy Adams (The Fighter) Someone from For Colored Girls maybe? |

Moore and Manville are being campaigned as lead, as far as I know. |

Thisn is the most interesting of the four acting races. Right now, Hailee Steinfeld has a tiny lead. But no Golden Globe nom, I think. Leo and Adams might suffer from the Almost Famous-effect (two strong contenders from one film who'll have the votes split between them). Helena Bonham Carter is an assured nominee and almost just as assured not to win. Final spot will be between Jacki Weaver, Mila Kunis and MAYBE Leslie Manville. |

Maybe they will go for Adams, though. It is her third nom afterall. |

Ugh, Carter does not deserve to win. It's such an...acceptable, but bland performance. She should've been Oscar nominated and won years ago for Howards End. |

The winner will be one of Hailee Steinfeld, Amy Adams and Melissa Leo. That's really all I can say right now, though. |

I'd say it's third-time nominee, playing-against-type Adams, closely followed by Steinfeld. |

Interesting factoid: If Bale and/or Adams/Leo win, The Fighter will be the first movie since Hannah and Her Sisters to take home both supporting Oscars. |

That really should have been accomplished for 2005's Oscars! (never understood why Owen and Portman were supporting for Closer... but they should have won!) Supporting Actress is always an interesting category... I can't pinpoint who I think is going to win though. |

I wish Weaver could win. But she won't. ![]() |
