 Best Supporting Actor 2010
Another fairly open race at this point.
Lock:
Geoffrey Rush (The King's Speech) - there's a great chance he'll win his second Oscar.
Others:
Christian Bale (The Fighter) Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) Justin Timberlake (The Social Network) Jeremy Renner (The Town) Matt Damon (True Grit)
I'm pretty sure a lot more will join this one.

Hm, I forgot Jack Nicholson in How Do You Know. Nicholson won his third Oscar in a Brooks film, so...
But it really seems like Rush will walk away with this.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2010
Nicholson's role in How Do You Know seems too bland.
And I get the feeling the movie won't fly with critics in general.

I don't think The Social Network will get two, and I think Garfield will get in over Timberlake.
Bale, Rush, Renner seem solid bets at this point.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2010
I recently saw Parnasuss and Garfield was pretty much by far the best actor in that movie. I was pleasantly surprised by his performance. If he's close to being that good in TSN, then with all the hype I cannot see him missing the cut here. Timberlake on the other hand? Really? His previous attempts were more or less panned, I don't think he can pull Hudson here even if it's only a nomination.

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2010
Garfield is by far the most deserving of the three, IMO.
And Damon does seem great in True Grit...

 Re: Best Supporting Actor 2010
I think given how overdue Ed Harris is, he could win over Rush.

Matt Damon & Josh Brolin are candidates for True Grit. Timberlake actually shocked me in that film, I thought he was magnificient. Garfield played his role well, he gave the film a different dimension with his descriptions of Zuckerberg, displaying the mixed emotions of being his friend but being fucked over by him. Yet he just didn't capture or hold my attention, Timberlake, with his cocky swagger and great delivery of Sorkin quick-speech did.
