I really liked the trailers, so I won't be surprised if the actual movie is just awesome.

I'll watch it. The trailer has won me over. When I first heard of the idea and the choice of Jaden I thought it was ridiculous. Anyway, I can't see this being a BP contender but if the year is weak then maybe JC can do Supporting but I doubt it at this point.

I seriously, seriously don't buy this. It may be an enormous hit with stellar W.O.M. from general audiences, but Oscars? Harald Zwart (Agent Cody Banks, The Pink Panter 2) for Best Director? No. No.

Pat Morita was Oscar nominated for the original film, so I s'pose Chan might be a very, very dark horse contender in Best Supporting Actor. Even there, though, I am hesitant to seriously consider this.

All they said was that this is an OK Movie and specially Jackie Chan will not get anyways near to Oscar.

Definitely not even close to win a single normal award leave Oscars behind
