I'm trying to sort out all of the possibilities because I have no idea what will win Best Picture.

-If Avatar is nominated for Best Original Screenplay, it will probably win Best Picture.
-If The Hurt Locker wins SAG or the PGA, it will probably win Best Picture.
-If Up In The Air takes anything other than WGA from here on out, it still can win, but is still behind Avatar and The Hurt Locker.
-If Inglourious Basterds takes SAG and one of WGA/PGA/BAFTA, it will level the playing field between it, The Hurt Locker, Avatar and possibly Up In The Air.
-If Avatar wins the DGA, the competition is completely dead.

And of course, you can mix and match these to the point that the ys are irrelevant. What if Avatar wins the DGA but The Hurt Locker won PGA and SAG? Or something unlikely and bizarre like that I can still conceive in some bizarre way.

Caveat: I have no clue about the BAFTAs, as usual.

I just don't see how a film that makes 13 million would be awarded Best Picture.

Avatar winning DGA, but losing PGA is impossible.

If Avatar wins DGA, it wins BP for sure. If it gets an Original Screenplay nom it wins for sure too.

The Hurt Locker needs to win WGA, DGA and SAG to get into frontrunner status. If it gets a Best Supporting Oscar nod then it'll become the clear frontrunner again, IMO.

Up in the Air needs to win PGA to get back into the race. h and Clooney needs to win SAG.
