No Guts No Glory nominations predictions!
Okay, what are your bravest predictions for the Oscar ballot to be revealed on February 2nd? And I mean really gutsy predictions, not something like District 9 or Star Trek getting a BP nom! Mine:- Anthony Mackie will get nominated for Best Supporting Actor for The Hurt Locker - District 9 will have eight or more nominations in total - Emily Blunt will get a Best Actress nom for The Young Victoria Bring on your crazy calls!

Re: No Guts No Glory nominations predictions!
I think yes (as long as it's produced outside the US). According to the Academy ( http://www.oscars.org/awards/academyawa ... ule14.html), a foreign language film is: Quote: defined as a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States of America with a predominantly non-English dialogue track.
But with some restriction: Quote: Accurate English-language subtitles are required.

It needs to be submitted by a country where the language is an official spoken language, though.

Re: No Guts No Glory nominations predictions!
Well I think so
1. Sandra Bullock will win The Best Actress 2. Avatar will be nominated for Best Screenplay 3. Star Trek and District 9 both combined will not grab even a single award

Re: No Guts No Glory nominations predictions!
I think the Golden Globes will make or break Sandra Bullock's chances of winning. If she gets the best actress award and gives a very well received speech, it will certainly help her immensely. She'll be in a $250 m film afterall and this really is Erin Brockovich the sequel even if the traditional critics aren't giving her their full support. The public is!

Avatar isn't nominated for anything outside of the techs.

Hmm, I'd bet a lot of money against that, heh.
