Biggest winners: Invictus and Up in the Air
Biggest loser: Precious (considering all the hype)

The Lovely Bones is slowly but surely losing its position in the run for the awards. Invictus keeps gaining.

When was the last time a movie won Best Picture without getting on BR's list?! Precious' chances aren't looking good at all now. At a win that is.

I predicted Kendrick to win here. Keep in mind NBR almost never matches 4:4 in the acting categories with the Oscars and over the recent years I noticed that they often tend to be off on Best Supporting Actress. Remember Catherine O'Hare won here as well for For Your Consideration? Mo'nique is still the frontrunner, IMO.

No Nine is troubling...and weird.

Mo'nique is definitely still the frontrunner. Another similar example is they didn't give supporting actor to Ledger last year either before he went on to sweep pretty much everything else.

Mulligan looks really good. And an actor lineup of Clooney, Freeman, Bridges, Firth, and Renner is looking more solid as well.

Nice for (500) DAYS OF SUMMER. Disappointed A SINGLE MAN didn't get in.

JULIA sucked, but HUMPDAY is one of the year's best. I wish it had caught on more. It was very funny, touching, and insightful. Highly recommended.

Nice. Their choices for Top 10 films (or, this year it appears to be Top 11) are more enlightened than I was expecting them to be. Star Trek, Up and Where the Wild Things Are all in - awesome, awesome.

Peace,
Mike
