Um. OK. So I usually like Television Without Pity and their recaps and such. But...they need to stick to not predicting the Oscars anymore.

Among certain highlights, they predict:

-Taraji P. Henson will win Best Supporting Actress
-Frost/Nixon will win Best Adapted Screenplay (LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL)
-David Fincher will win Best Director

And they actually still predict Slumdog Millionaire to win Best Picture despite claiming it won't win either Director or Screenplay. WTF.

This reminds me that my school newspaper recently had a feature where the arts & entertainment staff picked who they thought would win. It was mostly uneducated and banal, but my favourite part came when they claimed that Paul Thomas Anderson won Best Director last year, and that BP and BD rarely lined up. They used this to justify why Fincher would win BD, with Slumdog taking BP. They also seemed convinced that one of the two black ladies would take home Supporting Actress.

Some people just don't know shit.
