It's been a big news day: Ledger, the stock market and the presidential primaries. The nomination announcements seemed to have gotten lost in the hoopla. I'm starting to doubt that the big nominees will get as much of a boost as they usually do. It was only one day, but so much is going on right now...and with doubt over whether or not the Oscars will actually happen, I fear our nominees will be forgotten. 'Tis a shame. |

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The Ledger talk will cool down, and the SAG awards will bring the Oscar race back into the limelight. But yeah, it's been an exceptionally busy news day. |

This is very true indeed. All of the talk in today's news and on my campus has been Ledger this, Ledger that. People are not really talking about this year's Oscars, which is understandable. |

Even AwardsDaily's page for most of the day was Ledger-centric. That's how I found out about it, in fact. |
