Seems that Dave Karger has a pretty solid record (3 or 4/5 in categories), so... Atonement would get the shaft? In favor of Into the Wild? According to the guilds...

He neglects Into the Wild a lot there, yeah.

Ruby Dee getting a nom? Really? Nah...I doubt it.

Then again, there's one important thing to remember. Without either Dee or Washington, we'll have a year with not a single African-American nominee. Not in Director/Actor/Actress/Sup. Actor/Sup. Actress anyway.

Replace Dee with either Redgrave/Ronan (or Leigh!!!) and these would be quite perfect considering what's going on at the moment. Go Atonement? :( I can't think with a cold heart, that's why I'm not making full predictions this year...

very good predictions. Swap Atonement for Into the Wild in one or two places and you've basically got my predictions. and that lost OS slot could go to Lars or Knocked Up

he really only left it outta BP. He gave it Director and two Supportings. Throw in BP and that's all the major noms it'll likely get.

I read on awardsdaily.com that Dave Karger did these predictions after the DGA nominations.

Hmm... I'm still torn on Atonement but Into the Wild should have secured a spot by now as most of us agree.

3 to 4 correct out of 5 on average. Some categories strike 5/5. I can't pull up archives, but I'm pretty sure they nailed some Screenplay and Acting categories in the past.

I hope he's right on Linney getting in for actress....she seems to have slightly more buzz lately.
But he's so, so off on Atonement...unless he knows something we don't. More likely we know a lot that he doesn't, though.
