The Razzies once again discredit themselves by including movies and performances, which were actually good despite their media drubbing, in with the truly bad movies. This year the good movies and performances that they have wrongly included were: The Invasion Awake Fantastic Four: Rise of the Siver Surfer I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry Mr. Brooks The Last Mimzy The Golden Compass Let's hope the voters actually take some time out to watch them, so they don't go on to be wrongly short-listed... |

So Eddie Murphy got nominated for Actor, Supporting Actor, and Supporting Actress. I assume that hasn't been done before. |

Hmm, very so so lists. I'm sure Cate Blanchett is good in Elizabeth, no matter how the film is. |

I am rooting for Lindsay Lohan for the actress award. And I think Eddie Murphy has already secured the actor and screen couple awards. It will be a race between Norbit and Epic Movie for the biggie. |

Shrek should be under Worst Sequel if films like SM3 or POTC3 made their way there - it may have been a kid's flick so it went under the radar while they took the shit, but it still sucked. 300 doesn't deserve to be on there at alll...Worst Screenplay? Its' the most positively quoted movie of the year!! and Cate Blanchett's nom is ridiculous. The movie might suck, but even from the trailer I can see some very good acting ["I'VE GOT A HURRICANE IN ME..."] okay noms. Worst Picture's looking good. |

"Nicole Kidman/The Golden Compass and The Invasion" Are you kidding me? She was completely amazing! Fuck the Razzies. Also, I can't believe Pirates 3 is contending for so much, but Shrek the Turd is nowhere to be found! Shrek 3 was 10000x worse than Pirates 3. This year they got everything wrong. |

Kidman wasn't that good in Golden Compass. As far as bitch women in fantasies go, Tilda Swinton was much better in LWW. |

Post subject: | Re: Razzie Awards Longlists |
I disagree. Swinton was pretty good, but Kidman was the epitome of bitch-ness. She was just magnetic on-screen. She certainly doesn't deserve to be considered for a Razzie. |

Post subject: | Re: Razzie Awards Longlists |
I didn't think Kidman was much more than your typical on-screen villain. Definitely not Razzie-worthy, but nothing special. I wonder what's with the lack of love/hate for Epic Movie. ![]() |

Post subject: | Re: Razzie Awards Longlists |
it's not a sequel and it's got no big names, which helped it avoid a bunch of categories. It got nominated where it counts, but Worst Picture will probably go to something released during the summer. |
