Jennifer Jason Leigh! She's still alive? *orgasm* This doesn't bode well for Sweeney's chances (except for Burton).. sorry Loyal

Dallas Fort Worth critics shouldn't be held against Sweeney Todd's oscar chances.

Re: Dallas Fort Worth Critics Awards
very good picks. I think TWBB is emerging as the #2 film among critics after No Country. And seeing how being a frontrunner for a long time has definitely hurt films in the past [Brokeback Mountain, Traffic, among others], I think No Country needs a very strong Globes outing [aka taking Picture, Director, and Supporting Actor] to ensure its own success. Even then, things aren't wrapped up.
Julie Christie's starting to wrap up Best Actress.
Javier Bardem has wrapped up Supporting Actor.
Daniel Day-Lewis has pretty much wrapped up Best Actor.
Best Supporting Actress seems to be the only variable here...Blanchett and Ryan have equal chances of winning, and there could still be a surprise [Saorise Ronan, for example].
Juno's looking very good for Original Screenplay, especially since it might get Picture/Actress nods and not win either one, leaving this as a consolation prize [like Lost in Translation a few years back].
Adapted Screenplay is up in the air. I think that between NCFOM, TWBB, ST, and Atonement, it'll go to whichever one doesn't win Picture/Director that has the highest expectations to do so [example: if NCFOM misses out on those two, it'll win here. If NCFOM and TWBB split, it'll go to Atonement]
and I'm still very certain Picture and Director at the Oscars will split.
