Ang Lee!

Obviously they haven't seen TWBB, ST, and CWW.

Still fun nominations as usual! :)

Another mention for Frank Langella.

EDIT: nope, they saw TWBB; it got a cinematography nom; but nothing else? that's weird.

This is so random. Lust Caution didn't get score or cinematography after nabbing the big 3. No Atonement for Picture/Director.

Umm...no "No Country" for sound?!?!?!?!

Seriously?

They obviously have no idea what the hell they're talking about.

They're not THAT bad.

And it might hint at a few things for the Globes. Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman received comedy/musical nominations but Marion Cotillard and Laura Linney received theirs in the drama category. Wonder if they will remain in the same categories for the Globes.

Good for Away From Her! :) (Although the movie receiving screenplay/director/picture nominations was apparently still not enough to get Gordon Pinsent one for his acting).

Shoot 'em Up? One of the worst movies theatrically released in my lifetime?

I'm also amused that, in the rich ensemble of Zodiac, they single out Brian Cox.

Shoot 'Em Up is a comedy? Really?

Well, at least they're unpredictable, which makes them more entertaining than every other awards show.

These are kinda cool. Lots of love for Lookout and the Lars and the Real Girl performance. If there was Atonement for BP, cinematography and actor these would be pretty perfect for me

Interesting but I'm very upset that they only gave Into the Wild a nomination for Best Original Song. That's something you do to shitty Disney movies, not that.

Hehe, I just won't comment on these. Too weird.

I just say that I love their nom for Jeff Daniels (The Lookout). Well-deserved!

Actually, The Golden Age will probably get an Oscar nom for art direction as well. Not that wacky.

Amy Ryan's almost-sweep continues.

I think it's fair to say that she's ahead of Blanchett in the race now, isn't it?

Blanchett always struck me as an also-ran anyway. I just figured that one of the Atonement ladies might pull ahead, or some other shocker (As S. Actress is good for those). Unless someone else wins the Globe or SAG, I'd say she is indeed the frontrunner.
