...and it looks like Rwanda is gaining on Ray and Finding Neverland in the race for the Best Picture slot

Recognition for both Mean Girls AND Garden State.

Very happy about Garden State.

Yep, Hotel Rwanda is finally showing guild strength, while Ray and Finding Neverland would've locked up their bid with an appearance here but didn't, making the race for the last 2 spots more interesting.

Lack of love for Closer continues. I thought it had a good shot with screenplay, but I'm not sure any more.

BTW, these are great nominees. Before Sunset, Garden State, Mean Girls. It's nice that they remember them.

This is the best list yet.

Motorcycle Diaries, Before Sunset, Mean Girls, Garden State, Hotel Rwanda, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, etc.

I'm lovin' it.

Woohoo! Mean Girls got a nom, similarly to Clueless, which also did.

Surprisingly no Closer, Ray or Finding Neverland.

Nice to see Hotel Rwanda gaining steam. Eternal Sunshine and Sideways will win, methinks.

It saddens me that Closer isn't getting the acclaim it deserves. It's such a good movie. Oh well, there are some other great scripts there, especially Eternal Sunshine, Sideways and Garden State.

Hotel Rwanda's nom here, really strengthens its oscar chances :)

Eternal Sunshine, Sideways and Before Sunset are all locks, in my opinion for an oscar nom.
