Post Control: The first great rock biopic?
It's about Ian Curtis of Joy Division. Shot in black-and-white, directed by music video creator Anton Corbijn. It probably isn't a traditionally Oscar-ish type film (I love JD, but they aren't as easy for the Academy to warm to like Cash or Charles, who are more proto-rock if anything), but it has a 9.0 on IMDb, got praise at Cannes and Sydney (look here) and the trailer is really fucking good:

The performances and cinematography have gotten a lot of acclaim. Maybe Morton and Riley (a newcomer) will get their break.
