If Djimon Honsou didn't win, I was hoping for Alan Arkin. He is fantastic in the film!! But I do feel a bit bad for Eddie.

IMO Arkin winning was not an upset.

Peter O'Toole winning will be though :)

No, of course not. Alan Arkin's performance is a worthy win, and deserved in my opinion. I don't think his film choices have anything to do with it.

Is this a sign that Little Miss Sunshine will win in an upset?

By the way, thanks for commenting here for those of us whose computers don't allow us into the chat room for some reason.

I think it could. I think Marty is still a lock, but LMS could be the best picture winner. Also, have you noticed that not one film has a two winners yet...sorry Pan's Labyrinth does.

If Editing is The Departed, it's a two way race. If it's Babel, well then we're back to a three way race.

I think it shows LMS is definitely in it, but I don't think it means its the favorite.

I do feel sorry for Eddie. But I am so happy that Arkin won. Ever since I saw him as Unlce Lou in Indian Summer, he has been one of my faves.

Easy pick (Happy Feet) for those last 30 minutes. Just made sense after they introduced Al Gore right before it.
