If Hounsou gets Oscar nominated for that blah performance in that shitty movie, I'm going to shit my pants in agony. And Jesus....ANYONE but Whitaker. |

I still can't make a Top 10 list (after all, you have to like 10 movies!). 10 Worst list...THAT, I can do. The sad thing is...I'm not that hard to please. Really. That said, The Departed and The Queen are easily the two best films of the year. And The Prestige was superb, I thought. So was Casino Royale, of all things. A Prairie Home Companion and Monster House were also delightful. |

loyalfromlondon wrote: exactly how many films did u see this year? I have no idea the exact number, but i've seen plenty. No more or less than an average year. Most importantly, I've seen everything I've wanted to see, except Babel and Marie Antionette. But there are still some hopefully good movies yet to reach me; Notes on a Scandal, Dreamgirls, The Good German, Venus, Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth... Who's typing that, you or Jim Beam? ![]() |

Sounds to me like Yoshue is a drama queen. Peace, Mike. |

Marie Antoinette is the only highlight for me. The rest is just boring... |

I really don't mind Mirren dominating the Actress category because I think she deserves it. Maybe they could throw in a little Meryl or Cruz here and there but it's not that big a deal. I'm starting to get really annoyed by Whittaker's wins though. I don't like him in the lead category no less winning it constantly. As for Yoshue's commenst about thie year being lackluster... I wouldn't exactly agree but so far I've never felt so much indifference towards what seems to be buolding up as my top 10. There have been only a handful of solid films this year. No real standouts at all and alot of B+/A- efforts. |
