Note: OW is reporting that even though Jennifer Hudson was voted Best Supporting Actress, Dreamgirls wasn't made available to critics in time for voting.

I'm beginning to think Pans Labrynth is going to beat out Volver in the Foreign Language film category.

I also think Pans Labyrinth will win the Oscar. It's been winning everything.

From the President of the Southeastern Film Critics:

"As the current president of the Southeastern Film Critics Association (SEFCA) I can assure you that 'Dreamgirls' was made available to critics who voted for Jennifer Hudson as Best Supporting Actress. I for one saw "Dreamgirls" at the Atlantic Station Theatre in Atlanta, Ga, on November 15, and local critics, as well as out-of-towners, were there en masse. We were all blown away by Ms. Hudson's performance. She won herSEFCA Best Supporting Actress glory fair and square."

Critics had to rsvp to the movie beforehand, and we were checked off on arrival at the theatre. It is a shame a rumor is started like this and then blown out of proportion. Please help us speak to the facts.

Thank you,

Mercy Sandberg-Wright
President, SEFCA
