http://pdl.warnerbros.com/wip/us/med/pa ... qt_700.mov Hmm, it's from the director of We Don't Live Here Anymore, which was a damn fine debut. If this gets really strong reviews does anyone else think it could get some Oscar nods? |

Yeah I've been the lonely voice in the wilderness mentioning this movie now and then. The trailer looks really good, not all stiff and formal like a merchant ivory thing, it looks alive. If it gets great reviews, I think it has a chance of getting an actor nod or two, and maybe is in the running for things like adapted screenplay and cinematography. |

Naomi Watts is always good for a nomination when doing these kinds of roles. She's a future Best Actress winner. Any year now. Edward Norton is always somebody to watch, and he's due to do something sooner or later that re-establishes him as an Oscar caliber actor in the academy's eyes. |

I'll watch any film Edward Norton is in (and Naomi Watts only adds to it!) so cant wait for this. This could be one of those sleeper awards films that comes out of nowhere! |

If it gets a truly great reaction, I think the year is weak enough that it really has the potential to sneak in as a BP contender, but that's pretty out there. I coould however see Edward Norton getting a nomination. Maaybe Naomi Watts, but the Best Actress category is pretty packed this year. Either way, the trailer really is growing on me every time I see it, especially once I was able to get past of the stink of The Last Samurai the music gave me. |
