I have a feeling this will be more awkward than Garry Shandling at the Emmys.

Nothing can be more awkward than Whoopi Goldberg hosting the Oscars. Was it the year of the Bobbits when every single joke on the show was a penis joke.

Or I think she hosted election year too.

I think Rock is an inspired choice. He is an actor, he is a comedian, he is recognizable, and he can be both edgy and calm. He can scare the whities at the beginning and then simmer down and host a show.

I look forward to it.

I'm not sure he's the best choice but it could be worse. Whoopi Goldberg was horrible. Imagine if Rosie O'Donnell was picked. :shock:

He certainly is an interesting choice. I agree, he probably doesnt fit but it sure is going to be one ceremony to remember.
