I know it's a bit early, but what do you think will be the critics favorites this year? As we all know, BP nominees don't always end up in the Top 10 of critics favorites so this could make for an interesting discussion itself.

I fully expect both United 93 and Little Miss Sunshine to appear in the Top 10 this year with U93 most likely finishing in the Top 5. I'd go as far as predicting U93 to top the COTC Top 10 as well as the Passion Index.

This year will most likely be the first ever since the compilation of the Top 10's started that not a single big "fun" blockbuster will finish in the Top 10. 2001-2003 LOTR made its way into the Top 10, 2004 Spider-Man 2 placed as #9 and last year King Kong made it into the Top 5.


I see the following films making it into the Top 10 along with U93 and LMS:

The Fountain
Babel
Dreamgirls


If enough critics see Pan's Labyrinth, I expect it to end up there as well.
