What I am asking is what actors/actresses do you definitely see winning at least one Oscar during the rest of their careers. That may be people who have already won one or those who haven't.

I am pretty sure the following will eventually win another/their first Oscar in their lifetime:

Actors:

Russell Crowe - The way he picks his movies pretty much suggests that he'll definitely be up for more Oscars in future. With three noms already and fighting for the 5th spot this year, I see him eventually getting another Oscar (he deserved his second for A Beautfiul Mind already, though)

Leonardo DiCaprio - I definitely am not a big fan of his, but he is a talented actor and probably would have been the frontrunner last year, if it wasn't for Foxx.

Johnny Depp - The Academy ignored him way too long and rewarded with two nominations in a row in the recent years. He will get more noms in future and eventually win an award or two.

Tom Hanks - It's Tom Hanks. Nuff' said.

Jack Nicholson - I think he will eventually tie Katherine Hepburn as the thespian with most Academy Awards won. He already came pretty close with About Schmidt.

Sean Penn - He might be humorless, but he is still a very fine actor as four nominations and a win suggest and he picks his roles pretty well.

Kevin Spacey - When he's good, he's REALLY good. Two noms, two wins so far. I am sure we'll see another one eventually. Not soon, but eventually.

Edward Norton - He's just a great actor. Two nominations so far, for Primal Fear and American History X. His upcoming films seem rather promising too.

Jim Carrey - He has been ignored by the Academy so far, but I feel a similar situation as with Johnny Depp here. He has deserved noms for Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind and The Truman Show at least. He'll get his dues.

Jeff Bridges - Four nominations and zero wins speak for themselves. I think he'll get it eventually.

Ralph Fiennes - A great actor who once again earned a lot of acclaim for his role in The Constant Gardener this year.

Joaquin Phoenix - He was great in Gladiator and will receive his second nom for Walk the Line. He will get his dues.

Ed Harris - Four nominations, no wins. Has a steady career.

Actresses:

Julianne Moore - Four nominations speak for themselves. She'll get awarded next time she gets a nom, I think.

Kate Winslet - Another great actress who had four Oscar nominations by the age of 30. That is really impressive. She'll get several other noms in her career, I think and will end up with a win or two.

Nicole Kidman - Great actress who knows how to pick her roles as of recently. She will be awarded at least once more in the future.

Annette Bening - Three nominations so far and she came close to winning in the past.

Judi Dench - The Academy loves her and she is likely to receive her 5th nomination this year.

Joan Allen - She has a chance to score her 4th nod this year, for The Upside of Anger. Eventually, a win should come as well.

Naomi Watts - A great actress that will gain profile immensly after King Kong. She was snubbed for a nom for Mullholland Drive and was excellent in 21 Grams.

I am sure there are more. I just listed those who came to my mind immideatly. Feel free to add your picks or argue mine.

Julia Roberts I think is a lock for another Oscar.

After watching Matchpoint, I can say that Scarlett Johanson will most likely win one in the future as well :)

Kate Blanchet also comes to mind as well :)

Oh and this may be completley crazy, but I hope Maggie Smith gets a win for the final installment of the Harry Potter series... It would be huge by then and her role in that film will most likely be quite big.

I agree with most on there. I doubt Michael Caine, though because he has already won two and I don't see him as an actor who will end up with three Oscars in his career. He is really good, but not that good, I'd say.

Normally, I would have put Tom Cruise on there too, but it is just that....considering how weird he has turned lately, I doubt he'll be awarded anytime soon...

Law and Blanchett will definitely get one in the future.

I think Zhang Ziyi will win supporting actress at some year. Speaking more fluent English will help her career in the states, but even with just Chinese films, if she can continue getting dramatic roles with directors such as Ang Lee, Zhang Yimou, and Wong Kai-Wai, she could do it too.
