Apparently the song isn't played long enough or audible enough in the movie. |

I actually heard a little bit of the Brokback song on an NPR thingy, and I don't know, maybe I just didn't hear enough of it... But I thought it was kind of bad. |

I don't think it could be bad enough to simply not make the cut. Fiddy made it, Date with Drew made it, Sarah Silverman made it. I think it's probably what xiayun or lennier said. Either it wasn't in/eligible enough, or it's just straight up homophobia. |

Well, if it's actually not played with the credits and just those 30 seconds "from the radio" I can't be too mad about it... at least not at the Academy. Still, as small of a thing this is, I don't now why exactly, it actually did kinda kill the day for me ![]() |

Okay understandable. But.. has anyone seen White Nights? Wasn't the song by Phil Collins "Separate Lives" also played from a radio in one scene? And that was when two characters were having dialogue as well... so there were inaudible parts... pretty sure the audible parts did not last 30 seconds. Unless the song played over the end credits which I did not see since the movie was fucking horrible. lol ![]() |
