You know...since 1997 in all years, but three all five Best Picture Academy Awards nominees were among the ten nominees at BFCA, so if a movie misses out here....not good. The only ones that managed a Best Pucture nom without being in BFCA's Top 10 are Secrets and Lies, Chocolat (which no one expected to be a nom anyway) and Gosford Park. |

Mine: - A History of Violence - Brokeback Mountain - Capote - Cinderella Man - Crash - Good Night and Good Luck - King Kong - Match Point - Munich - Walk the Line alternatives: Pride and Prejudice, The New World, The Constant Gardener, The Squid and the Whale. I don't think they're Malick fans... (The Think Red Line scored an 80 with them - it still got nominated though...) |

android wrote: I don't think they're Malick fans... (The Think Red Line scored an 80 with them - it still got nominated though...) how could you make such a statement? Is it possible that they could omit the movie on the fact that few have screened it or maybe, just possibly they did screen it and it's not good? The line between fact and opinion has seriously been blurred in these awards threads |
