 Re: Broadcast Film Critics Nominations
BTW, with 8 wins, I think Mad Max has already set a new BFCA record.

 Re: Broadcast Film Critics Nominations
Jacob Tremblay won Best Young Actor and gave one of the most adorable speeches of all-time. Too bad he didn't get an Oscar nom.

Apparently Abraham Attah cried when Tremblay won.

 Re: Broadcast Film Critics Nominations
No surprise, as critics consensus has been the Spotlight/Miller combo for BP/BD, with Mad Max dominating the techs.

 Re: Broadcast Film Critics Nominations
I'm very pleased with these wins overall. The Revenant wins only the two awards it deserves to win, from my perspective, and nothing more.
Very happy for Schumer's win and the many wins for the terrific Mad Max. And Spotlight was also one of my favourite films of the year - very pleased with it's ensemble win in particular. The Oscars really need to add a Best Ensemble category already.
Peace, Mike

 Re: Broadcast Film Critics Nominations
Nothing very surprising here. At all.I did well with my predictions. Sure I risked Mara and Ronan for the actresses, but neither Larson nor Vikander are surprises. It was obvious they'd go for Spotlight in Picture and for Miller in Director. It is a patter identical to that they took for Gravity/12 Years a Slave and Boyhood/Birdman. It would have been silly to expect something else. These awards are utterly meaningless, in any way shape or form.

He corrected his mistake last night.
