 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
Where the hoot is Whiplash? Jake Gyllenhall in Capt Phillips? lol I think he may be making the cut for the Oscars. Jennifer again for Cake. I have to see this film now. Quvenzhane Wallis...no...this isn't real. Where the hoot is Keira Knightley for Begin Again gosh darn it!!!! Supporting Actor and Actress are Oscar locks once they actually start winning these awards. Simmons and Arquette.
Quvenzhane...this is crazy. Guilt?

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
So Boyhood and Birdman look the strongest here? Given Gone Girl missing Picture, The Imitation Game missing director. and Selma missing screenplay.

Hope Boyhood and Birdman clean house. Patricia/Emma and Ethan/Edward is very tough for me.

Where did Jennifer Aniston come from? I didn't even know about that film before these noms.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
Jolie was nominated for NOTHING? At the Globes? Wow.
I'm just sad Wiig and Hader got nothing. Lionsgate should have campaigned for them. Underrated performances.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
So they completely snubbed American Sniper and Unbroken.
I am pleased for Boyhood, Foxcatcher, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Grand Budapest seems to be overcoming the obstacle of its early release date. It is showing up everywhere, including Best Director here.
On a random note, it is a shame they did not recognize Jenny Slate for Obvious Child. A truly great comic performance by a lead actress.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
Interstellar seems to be losing steam. The Globes showered Inception with nominations, but only a score nod this time around.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
I don't think Interstellar had any steam to begin with once its reviews were out.
The Grand Budapest Hotel has come on strong and should definitely fare better than Moonrise Kingdom.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
Pride returned from the dead to get a Best Picture nomination...and nothing else.
I regret not seeing it in theatres, though. It seemed charming.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
The Estonian film, Tangerines, came out of nowhere, at least as far as I can see. It topped a lot of higher profile foreign-language contenders such as Mommy; Two Days, One Night; Wild Tales; and Winter Sleep.

 Re: 72nd Golden Globe Awards
It actually looks like the winner of Best Actress Musical or Comedy has a serious chance of missing an Oscar nomination. Adams or Blunt will win (I'm assuming Blunt at this point since Adams has no steam and musicals are historically very successful at winning Actress awards) but I think Aniston may get the Oscar nom.
