Re: Best Supporting Actor 2011 Agreed, I have a hard time seeing Drive's violence playing that well with the AMPAs (Beginners is not exactly the King's Speech either, but Plummer has too much cred with them)

Re: Best Supporting Actor 2011 This category has three very "due" legends this year in Plummer, Nolte, and von Sydow. You almost wonder if it might become more of a contest. Nolte is the most nominated of the trio, but also has the most personal baggage and the least Oscar friendly film. Oh, and Jonah Hill.  _________________   1. The Lost City of Z - 2. Re: Best Supporting Actor 2011 Jonah Hill being an Oscar nominee is kind of a hilarious thought to ponder when you go back and think of something like Superbad. But I did really enjoy him in Moneyball.
