You know, on on hand I am glad that genre films can win Best Picture and Best Director these days, but it still kind of bugs me when a film wins those things without even being nominated for writing or acting.

Mickey Rourke doesn't appear to be happy for Sandra Bullock

Mickey Rourke appears to be quite out of it anyway.

It's Bullock vs. Streep for the Oscars. Looks like Streep might have to wait yet another year.

I knew Downey, Jr. would win. He's so 'hot' right now and the category was so scattershot. Damon deserved it, but no one seems to care much for The Informant!

I'm proud of my prediction coming true. :P And, damn, Downey gives a fun speech.

Downey gave a great speech, yeah...but the win was still kinda random. But then so was the category.

James Cameron finde ich mittlerweile ungefähr so beschissen wie den charmanten Briten Jamie Cullum.

UGH! Both Picture and Director? This is BS!

Though I am most pissed about (500) DAYS OF SUMMER losing Best Comedy or Musical to THE HANGOVER. Now SUMMER has pretty much no chance of a Best Picture nomination.

These were very boring and disappointing.

Reitman is such a douchebag. He could at least try to hide his contempt. Anyway, nice to see Avatar pick up the two big awards.

nice to see films that no one cared to watch have been ignored.

Really we should stop falsely praising films because they have "cool actors" and praise films that actually entertain.

I doubt the Oscars will change much, I think Avatar is certain to win but of course the "useless" films will win many more awards.

Quote:
* The Hangover
* (500) Days of Summer
* It's Complicated
* Julie & Julia
* Nine

no wonder Hangover, won...

I think movies should be praised that are good. Around 40 million people in the US cared to watch Transformers 2...should that make it a contender as well?
