I knew Slumdog was 100% as soon as I saw it in mid December, unless they hadn't seen it and thought it was still some sort of dramedy (as I did before), I don't know how anyone could doubt it. It's very very very BP type, as much as Departed and MDB or whatever. Gangsters and the oh noes mob storyline mixed with a big destinyized romance and sympathy for minorities and an underdog beats the odds story, done with a conventional big climax/happy ending and very cinematic accesible narrative, and then the weak competition... plus it's geuninely better than the rest. No brainer here.
