 Re: BAFTA nominations
Am I the only one who thought Amy Adams was better than Viola Davis in Doubt? Or, rather, I feel Amy Adams deserves just as much respect for her performance.

 Re: BAFTA nominations
Adams was very good (and probably deserving of a nomination; I have yet to see a good number of the other contenders), but Davis OWNS her one scene. Even with all of one scene, I think she gave the best performance in the movie. I'm usually not on board with these "one really good scene" nominations (esepcially the ridiculous inclusion of Ruby Dee in last year's Supporting Actress category), but Davis definitely deserves any mentions she gets.
The Sally Hawkins snub is surprising. I would have thought that BAFTA, of all organizations, would include her. I think this definitely casts a shadow of doubt of the possibility of an Oscar nomination.

I predict at least seven wins for Slumdog.

 Re: BAFTA nominations
Hmm, La Vie En Rose won most awards last year, heh. I completely forgot that.
And Atonement took home Best Film, but only two awards overall (I think Production Design as well).
I still feel that Slumdog will sweep here or get close to doing so.

Thank God Gomorrah and Baader-Meinhof both lost Best Foreign, but I wish it had gone to Persepolis.
