 Most likely acting frontrunner to lose? Right now there are four heavy frontrunners, but if one falters, who is it?

Re: Most likely acting frontrunner to lose? One of the women. I voted for Laura Dern, I feel like that category is historically the most upset-prone. I’d be happy with Zellweger not winning (1. She annoys me, 2. Biopic acting wins annoy me), so she’ll probably win easily.

Re: Most likely acting frontrunner to lose? Pitt is my #1 lock cause of vote splitting for the Irishman guys. Joaquin the only hitch I could think of is if two Oscars for the same role is a turn off. Otherwise they love Joker, so he should win
Dern has the career win mentality behind her and a BP nom so I'll say Renee is weakest. I don't like Bombshell winning anything and MS is weak. Ronan a sleeper?

Re: Most likely acting frontrunner to lose? With the SAG wins - Pitt and Dern are locks.
Let's see if Zelwegger wins a SAG. If she doesn't, then her Oscar win is far from guaranteed and an upset could very well happen (maybe ScarJo)

Re: Most likely acting frontrunner to lose? I could see Zellweger or Dern possibly being upset. I mean most likely not but if anyone will be they're most vulnerable. I'd say Dern could be upset by Pugh who had a fantastic year and people could be tired of Dern winning. Especially for giving the same performance she gives on Big Little Lies. Zellweger was great but nobody really loves the film which could hurt. I could see a scenario where Erivo upsets to be honest. If enough people were to rally behind the only POC nominated for an acting award. Granted people don't really love Harriet either.
But I'm happy for Zellweger's comeback so it will be nice if she wins.
Dern is a great actress and will be back one day with a more win-worthy performance if she does happen to get upset.
