No, I meant Keira Knightley is only "gorgeous" looking when we consider that she is a 16-year old boy. ;)

I always had a fondness for tom boys when I was younger.

Well Meryl just got her first Kids' Choice nomination so she's obviously winning the Oscar now.

I thought Streep was better than Arquette. But I have not seen Stone, Knightley or Dern's performances.

Having seen all five, I'm surprised this hasn't been a more open race. Arquette gives a great performance no doubt, but I don't think she should have been the frontrunner from the very start. She's not on par, to me, with other frontrunners Julianne Moore and JK Simmons. Maybe it's because I'm not sure of the other four who could have challenged her. Emma Stone is great, but it may be too soon to give her an Oscar. Laura Dern is fine but underused in Wild. Keira Knightley is suitable but it's not an award-worthy performance. And Meryl is a little too scenery-chewing in Into the Woods for it to win the Oscar.

More like she's too Meryl Streep to win. If she was to ever win again, it would have to be for a performance widely proclaimed as her best ever.

I almost think if she hadn't just won recently for The Iron Lady (a mediocre film, by all accounts), this is the type of movie Meryl would have won for.

I agree.

Maybe she can do Nancy Reagan in about 10 years
