OMFG, I love the nom for Guardians of the Galaxy!

Looks like the WGA still considers Whiplash Original and not Adapted.

The Theory of Everything, Birdman and Selma were not eligible, so these do not tell us much. Inherent Vice is apparently pretty weak. Nightcrawler, Foxcatcher and American Sniper continue to show strength.

I think The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Imitation Game will win these.

Inherent Vice didn't even get nominated here. Not very promising for an Oscar nod.

So Whiplash replacing Guardians, and Theory of Everything replacing American Sniper for adapted screenplay at the Oscars?

I am pretty sure Wild will make it.

Well, I see Gone Girl, The Imitation Game and The Theory of Everything as locked. Then Wild, Whiplash and American Sniper fighting for the last two spots. Considering Wild is the least likely to get a Best Picture nomination, then logically it's the weakest one in that category?

Not all BP nominees have their screenplays nominated. Hornby's name will help Wild.

Yeah, we tend to see a Actress/Screenplay combo with little or no other noms, and Wild seems to be the perfect candidate this year.

American Sniper is surging right now though. I think it's getting in.

The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Imitation Game won.

This bodes very well for my predicted win for Anderson at the Oscars.

So Birdman could either win BP or end up with only one award in cinematography.

Yeah. To be fair, since Birdman was not eligible for WGA, we cannot gauge how strong its screenplay is.

But it is the same with Boyhood. It could win BP/BD/Screenplay/Editing/Supporting Actress...or just Supporting Actress. Both is fathomable.

Not unexpected, though. The screenplay is far from the film's strongest suits.

The film won picture and director at the globes and baftas. I don't believe it wins just supporting. It will win either director, picture or both.

The Globes mean zero for the Oscars.
