How did you like Saving Mr. Banks and Her, Arthur?
I thought both were solid, none were great, thoguh you will almost definitely like Her more and probably more than I did too.
Saving Mr. Banks is an all-around solid film, with a terrific performance by Emma Thompson who was outright snubbed for a nom at the Oscars. Aside from her and the score, nothing particularly stands out about the film and I thought the flashbacks were just too many and disturbed the flow of the film.
Her has several moments of brilliance, but it ius too long and drags in several spots, IMO. Obviously, it MUST be seen in an undubbed version. It is incredible that Johansson and Phoenix have such terrific chemistry despite her never being on screen. Johansson is amazing and Phoenix is very good too. Also, Amy Adams has an underrated performance. However, I wished for more humor (like in the film's beginning) and as the film progressed it left me colder and colder.
