It is the second installment in The Mighty Ducks trilogy, and a sequel to the 1992 film The Mighty Ducks produced by Walt Disney Pictures, The Kerner Entertainment Company and Avnet–Kerner Productions. In some countries the film was titled The Mighty Ducks (the first having been titled Champions and as The Mighty Ducks Are the Champions on home release). It was succeeded by the final film the series, D3: The Mighty Ducks, in 1996.

Jack Sparrow KJ's Leading Idiot Joined: Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:15 pm Posts: 36949	Re: D2: The Mighty Ducks Raises the stakes and goes the predictable route of the first but is not as effective as the first. The film loses focus in the middle half where the entire group is doing things separately and no one is exactly getting hurt from this. While first movie handles teamwork this movie focuses on sportsmanship and I loved the central story around it. The end at this time felt a little too derivative and having world championship in LA was too big of an advantage. B-
