 Bombshell
Quote: Bombshell is an upcoming American drama film directed by Jay Roach and written by Charles Randolph. It stars Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie, and is based upon several women at Fox News who set out to expose CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment. John Lithgow, Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton, Malcolm McDowell, and Allison Janney appear in supporting roles.
The project was first announced in May 2017 following Ailes' death, with Roach confirmed as director the following year. Much of the cast joined that summer and filming began in October 2018 in Los Angeles.
The film is scheduled to be released in a limited release the United States on December 13, 2019, followed by a wide release on December 20, 2019, by Lionsgate. For their performances, Theron and Robbie were nominated for Best Actress – Drama and Best Supporting Actress, respectively, at the 77th Golden Globe Awards

Saw this back in October and highly enjoyed it. All three leads are great.

Amazing cast and kinda made me glad I'm not a woman. Men have it much much easier in life than woman, even us have it easier.

 Re: Bombshell
It's quite good and the cast certainly attracts and it's Theron who stands out among them. Actually aside from her there isn't too much reason to watch this. She's great and it's a film about a recent hot topic that could make it interesting to tune in about, but publicenemy#1 has a point that it gives of a TV movie vibe. There's just not a lot of depth to it, I imagine its coming across as not much more than the depiction of the wiki page on the Roger Ailes scandal. It's neatly directed though, well paced and easy to digest.

 Re: Bombshell
Solid movie about fairly recent events. Was fun seeing the Debate and RNC scenes in Cleveland knowing that I was there working it (long and annoying days, but I got tell celebrities what to do so that was fun.) Margot was definitely my favorite character, and she had ace chemistry with Kate McKinnon. Charlize was great too. It hurts to know that this whole thing didn't affect Fox News one bit, but at least a powerful asshole was brought down.

 Re: Bombshell
I remember watching it last year during awards season. Its not bad but this movie has a lot of potential which I felt was not explored enough. Margot, Nicole and Charlize are both great in this specially Margot and the supporting cast is great across the board and they bring enough gravity for this kind of movie. The problem is the tone because it does not organically switch between dark comedy and emotional arcs.

 Re: Bombshell
I enjoyed it, but I have already forgotten most of it and I watched it only a couple of days ago. I can't really add in too much to what others have already said, but yeah the three leading women are great and John Lithgow was particularly slimy as Ailes, but after seeing Russel Crowe in the role in The Loudest Voice which did this story a lot more justice IMO this just felt like an inferior version of that with not a whole lot of depth or intrigue.
