Quite liked this little thriller. It's perhaps "below" Neil Jordan in that it really doesn't do anything out of the ordinary but it's well-done in a manner you never see when Screen Gems makes this kind of movie (which they continue to do on a regular basis. Intruder is coming soon starring Dennis Quaid as a crazy man who won't give up his home). I do kind of wish the roles of Monroe and Moretz were switched as I find Monroe a more interesting actor and Moretz IMO is getting worse as she ages. Still, the movie was pretty good and I can't see most not at least finding some entertainment value from watching it.

Its a great thriller in the first half but the second half is too predictable and not haunting enough. It could have used its house settings a little better and needed more exploration of Greta's motives. Isabelle Huppert amd Chloë Grace Moretz are both great in here but the script needed to be a little more inventive for it to stand out from a generic thriller.
