Carlie Guevara gives great performance in a movie that works as a character study but fails to bring an impact when trying to make a statement with its social injustice themes. A lot of this movie works because of Carlie Guevara's turn here, I am not sure how much movie industry is open towards trans people but here is a right candidate for such roles. You really feel the struggles of Tina be it love, society, work - nothing comes easy. I just wish the finale was built up a little more and the relationship with the clueless grandma was further explored.
