While the action is going its fun but the generic premise and a compelling script brings this own. Ryan Phillipe and Casper Van Dien do well though the later is wasted in here. The kids who were supposed to be the emotional heart of the movie fail completely and their relationship is not given enough room to grow. The action is very well choreographed and school settings are used well.

It's a typical dtv action film and there could be plenty to criticize it for, but actually it's kind of fun too. Its pacing is good and some zany characters make it quite watchable, Philippe is decent, but it's more the overall shoot-ups and action scenes that make this feel reasonably alive. The dialogue is actually not bad either, and while it definitely dips into, this is "so bad" territory, it has a lightness to it to not take it too seriously either. The back story with the 2nd amendment is somewhat interesting and all things considered it's not worse than an average watch.
