The Last Days of American Crime
Quote: The Last Days of American Crime is a 2020 American crime action thriller film directed by Olivier Megaton from a screenplay written by Karl Gajdusek. It stars Édgar Ramírez, Anna Brewster, Michael Pitt, and Sharlto Copley and is based on Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini's 2009 graphic novel of the same name.

Morbidly curious about this one considering how bad it's supposed to be.

Re: The Last Days of American Crime
It's not good, but I didn't hate it either. It's just more frustrating to me how something like this could be so well made and turn out to be such a hollow mess of a film, but then again this is exactly what you get when you hire a hack director like Oliver Megaton who hasn't really done a single thing that was worth a damn IMO. It's a shame because the potential is definitely there and I just hate seeing good actors who I have enjoyed in other films being wasted like Edgar Ramírez, Michael Pitt and worst of all Sharlto Copley whose character was completely fucking pointless in the grand scheme of things. I will at least give Megaton credit for not trying to give me a seizure during his chaotic action sequences and that's really the only area I can admit I see some improvement from him in, but its not enough to save this movie.

Re: The Last Days of American Crime
Unintentional hilarious moments throughout and nonsensical screenplay ruins an interesting premise. The actors do fine but the material is just not there for any of them to do well.
